Dyersville Campaign for GLR Collecting Books During February

The Dyersville Campaign for Grade-Level Reading (GLR) is in the midst of an effort to collect books for kids.

Dyersville Community Coordinator Jessica Pape says the Campaign for Grade Level Reading is actually a national initiative.

The Dyersville Campaign for Grade-Level Reading started nine years ago. Pape says their goal in the beginning was to look at the data to find the gaps, but they’re now at the point where a lot of the sustainability has been done.

Right now during the month of February, the Dyersville Campaign for Grade-Level Reading is working to advance the national initiative in the Dyersville community through the collection of new or gently-used books.

The books can be dropped off at local financial institutions in the Dyersville area through the end of the month.

Drop-off locations include Citizens State Bank, Community Savings Bank, Dupaco Community Credit Union, DuTrac Community Credit Union, Fidelity Bank & Trust and MidWestOne Bank.
