Manchester Girl Scout Troops Hosting Cookie Booths

Girl Scout cookies are back, with local troops selling their famous snacks.

Local troop leader Sara Breckenfelder says selling cookies is a good experience for the girls.

All your favorite cookies are back this year – including Thin Mints, Tagalongs, Samoas, Adventurefuls, Do-si-dos, Trefoils, Lemon-Ups, Girl Scout S’mores and Toffee-tastics (which are gluten-free). And you’ll have a chance to purchase cookies this Saturday at cookie booths at Norby’s in Manchester.

They’ll also have their cookie booth at Norby’s next Saturday, February 24th from 10 am to 2 pm . The cost for a box of Girl Scout cookies is $6 this year and Breckenfelder says the proceeds help the troops give back to the community.

And one of the Girl Scout troops recently completed a special project at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester.

The proceeds from the cookie sales also help the Girl Scout troops purchase the badges and pins they earn, as well as craft supplies – and it helps pay for the opportunity for the girls to participate in fun activities.

You have until March 17th to stock up on your favorite treats. If you’d like to buy Girl Scouts cookies or would like to get your daughter involved in Girl Scouts, feel free to reach out to Sara Breckenfelder at 920-8534.
