Deadline to Request Iowa Democrat Presidential Preference Cards

Today is the last day Iowa Democrats can request their 2024 presidential preference cards. 

The deadline to submit a request for a presidential preference card is 11:59 p.m. tonight.

Iowa Democrats Chair Rita Hart says it’s been a pleasure seeing the response they’ve had to their new Presidential Preference Card process. More than 17,000 cards had been requested as of Friday, with over 6,000 cards returned so far. Hart says while it’s clear that President Biden will be their nominee, it’s important that Iowa Democrats participate in their mail-in caucus so that they can set the Democrats up for success in 2028 and beyond.

The Iowa Democratic Party expects the number of participants for the 2024 mail-in caucus will exceed their goal of 15,000 – which was the same number of caucus-goers in 2012 (the last time they had an incumbent Democratic President).
