The director of the Manchester Chamber is resigning.

Dave Wakefield has served as the Executive Director for the past two years. The Manchester Chamber Board says during that time, Wakefield has played a pivotal role in advancing the Chamber’s mission to promote economic growth and development in the Manchester area. The Board says under his leadership, the Chamber has experienced significant growth in membership, expanded its programs and services and strengthened partnerships with local businesses and community organizations.

In a statement, Wakefield expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead the Manchester Chamber. “It has been an honor to serve as the Executive Director of the Manchester Area Chamber of Commerce. I am proud of the work we have accomplished together to support the business community and drive economic prosperity in our region,” says Wakefield.

The Board of Directors of MACC extends its heartfelt thanks to Dave for his dedication, leadership, and countless contributions to the Chamber and the Manchester community. “Dave has been an invaluable asset to MACC, and his passion for our mission has been evident in everything he has done. We are grateful for his leadership and wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” says Chamber Board President Kurt Heims.

Wakefield’s last day will be March 8th.

The search will begin for a new Manchester Chamber Director. In the interim, the Board will work closely with Chamber staff to ensure continuity of operations and continued support for Chamber members.
