Two Cancer Survivor Convoys Meeting in Earlville Thursday

Midwest Pride In Your Ride is this weekend – and Thursday night, a special semi convoy is kicking it off.

For the past couple years, a convoy of five semis has transported five Delaware County cancer survivors to Earlville – where they meet up with a convoy of five semis carrying five Dubuque County survivors. 

They come into Earlville via Old Highway 20 and meet up – driving side-by-side down Northern Avenue/270th Avenue through town before heading out to Tri-State Raceway, where the Midwest Pride In Your Ride truck and tractor show will take place this weekend.

The Delaware County Relay for Life is inviting the community to send off their five cancer survivors, who will include Mindy Hauser, Al Wilson, Pete Sprague, Jason Deutmeyer and Joyce Curtis. 

They’ll be meeting around 5:30 pm at Riverfront Park in Manchester along West Main Street, with the semi convoy leaving around 6:15 pm.  

Everyone is welcome to stop out Thursday night to show their support – or wave and cheer them on as the convoy makes its way to Earlville.
