Marginal Risk for Severe Storms Again Today

For the third day in a row, there is a risk of severe weather across the KMCH listening area today.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed all of eastern Iowa under a Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 5) this afternoon into tonight.
The National Weather Service says scattered thunderstorms are possible between 4 and 10 pm. Severe storms should be isolated, with non-severe thunderstorms and rain becoming widespread tonight.
The main threat would be damaging winds. Large hail over the size of a quarter and isolated tornadoes are also possible.
Keep it tuned to Mix 94.7 KMCH – we’ll let you know of any watches and warnings and break in with live coverage if warranted.
