Successful Cookout Fundraiser for Delaware County Economic Development

Delaware County Economic Development had a great turnout for their annual spring cookout on Friday.
DCED hosted the cookout at the Manchester Fareway parking lot during the lunch hour, giving the public a chance to purchase a grilled ribeye steak sandwich courtesy of the Delaware County Cattlemen.
Director Donna Boss says they usually serve a little over 400 sandwiches – but just an hour and a half into their event on Friday, they were up to around 600 sandwiches sold, with deliveries heading to nearly all corners of the county.Â
The funds raised from Friday’s cookout support Delaware County Economic Development in their mission of educating high school students about local workforce opportunities here at home through DCED’s school-to-work events.
