Cruisin’ for Camp Courageous on Sunday

They’ll be “Cruisin’ for Camp Courageous†this Sunday.
Presented by the Cedar Valley Street Rods, Cruisin’ for Camp Courageous is one of Iowa’s largest charity car shows, featuring hundreds of show cars, vintage vehicles, motorcycles, and trucks. It’s held at Camp Courageous just southeast of Monticello and it’s a family event with a large silent and live auction, several food stands, music, and craft show. Pinstripers demonstrations will be available on the grounds, along with laser tag, kid’s games, face painting, and prizes.
The Camp Courageous train and mini golf will be available for ten dollars each. Special guest van “Salute to the Fallen†will also be on display with a flag presentation prior to the live auction.
Car registration is $20, with registration on Sunday running from 8 to noon. This year, “Top 37†awards will be presented to the 37 entries receiving the most votes from the show’s participants. The last award of the day will be the “Spectator’s Choiceâ€, given to the vehicle voted as the fan’s favorite.
Admission is $5 for adults, with kids 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.Â
All proceeds help Camp Courageous, which serves around ten thousand campers with special needs each year.
