Davis Sworn In as New Manchester Police Chief

Manchester’s new police chief was sworn in on Tuesday morning.

Ben Davis was appointed to the position by Mayor Connie Behnken late last month, with the City Council approving his hire two weeks ago.

Davis comes to Manchester after most recently serving as the police chief of Fayette.

He will be replacing Jim Hauschild, who is retiring after ten years as chief and thirty years with the Manchester PD. Hauschild’s last day is Friday, with the community invited to his retirement open house on Friday from 11 to 1 at the Manchester fire station.
