Eastern Iowa Honor Flight’s Return Tonight Delayed

The Eastern Iowa Honor Flight launched Flight #51 on Tuesday morning, with nearly ninety veterans taking a one-day trip to Washington D.C. to see the monuments and memorials built in their honor.
Their flight will be returning home later than scheduled on Tuesday night. Over the weekend, inclement weather in parts of the country resulted in a delayed flight schedule affecting their plane. Due to change, the flight schedule has been adjusted and the flight will return to the Eastern Iowa Airport at 10:20 p.m. this evening – one hour later than originally scheduled. This will allow the veterans the opportunity to see all memorials scheduled for the trip.
Everyone is invited to attend the “Welcome Home†celebration at the Eastern Iowa Airport beginning at 7:30 p.m., which will involve a military band, flag line, local police and fire departments, and lots of emotions. Parking in both the long-term and short-term lots is free when you pick up a parking pass at the information booth in the terminal.
Flight 51 is named in honor of Collins Aerospace, an RTX business in honor of their generous contributions to the organization.
