Driver Transported to Hospital after Manchester Collision

A driver was transported to the hospital after a collision in Manchester last Thursday afternoon.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office says 56-year old Roy Wickman of Ryan was driving his SUV westbound on Burrington Road when he failed to yield to an eastbound SUV while turning into a private drive. The two vehicles collided in the eastbound lane. 

The driver of the eastbound SUV, 25-year old Maleah Georgen of Manchester, was extricated from her vehicle by non-mechanical means. Authorities say she was transported by ambulance to Regional Medical Center with possible injuries. 

Wickman was not injured. He was charged with failing to yield upon making a left turn.
