Highway 13 Project Delayed Again Until June 10th

The start date for the Highway 13 project north of Manchester has been pushed back again.

This project was originally scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 28th, but it was delayed until Monday, June 3rd due to unfavorable weather conditions. The DOT says they are delaying the project again until Monday, June 10th, weather permitting.

The project involves closing Iowa 13 from the north side of Manchester to Iowa 3 until early November so crews can remove and replace the pavement for this 10-mile section of roadway.

While the road is closed, traffic will be detoured east on U.S. 20 to Iowa 38 and Iowa 3. Access to homes along the closure route will be maintained.
