911 Landline Service Currently Down in Delaware County, Other Areas

Many Iowa residents, including in Delaware County, are currently not able to call 911 from a landline phone.

Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management says an interruption of landline phone service has affected residents, businesses and emergency providers resulting in phone and/or internet issues throughout Iowa due to an issue with service provider Lumen Technologies. Outages may vary by location.

To call 911, use a cell phone – or in Delaware County, you may dial 563-927-3135. Texting 911 is also an available option in all of Iowa’s 99 counties.

Emergency management officials will announce when 911 landline service is restored.
