911 Landline Service Fully Restored in Delaware County

911 landline service has been fully restored in Delaware County.Â
Delaware County Emergency Management made the announcement Friday shortly before 9 am.
Service had been down for a day since Thursday morning. Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management says an interruption of landline phone service affected residents, businesses and emergency providers resulting in phone and/or internet issues throughout Iowa due to an issue with service provider Lumen Technologies.Â
While landline service was down, Delaware County residents were asked to call 911 on their cell phone, text 911 or call the Sheriff’s Office if they needed 911 service – but with service now restored, residents can once again use their landline phone to call 911.
