Strawberry Point Man Running for Iowa House

A Strawberry Point man is running for a seat in the Iowa House.

Jason Gearhart’s name will appear on the Republican ballot in Tuesday’s primary for State Representative of District 64. The seat covers all of Clayton and Allamakee counties, as well as Concord Township in Dubuque County.

Gearhart, who is a West Delaware graduate, says his reason for running for the Iowa House is pretty simple.

Gearhart says he has several priorities if he wins Tuesday’s primary and is elected to the Iowa House in November.

Gearhart will face Douglas Wolfe of Elkader in Tuesday’s Republican primary. The seat is currently held by Anne Osmundson of Volga, who is not seeking re-election.
