Governor Visits Manchester for Tractorcade’s 25th Anniversary Celebration

Governor Kim Reynolds and company were in Manchester on Monday night to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade.
The tractorcade is an annual three-day ride around eastern Iowa, with more than four hundred tractors participating this year. This year, they’re camping out at the Manchester fairgrounds, with the route taking riders to the Lake Delhi area on Monday, the Guttenberg area on Tuesday and Backbone on Wednesday.Â
Governor Kim Reynolds says it’s a great way to showcase the state of Iowa.
Congresswoman Ashley Hinson says this week’s tractorcade is a tribute to Iowa agriculture.Â

Manchester residents and residents along the route have been parked along roads and side streets – even sitting in lawn chairs in their yards – watching the tractors come and go. Manchester Mayor Connie Behnken says it’s been a great opportunity for the community to host hundreds of visitors.

Iowa Secretary of Ag Mike Naig even joined in on the tractorcade Monday afternoon from the Linn County Fairgrounds in Central City.Â
After a relaxing ride through the countryside on Monday, Secretary Naig and the riders headed back to the fairgrounds in Manchester for a meal grilled by the Delaware County Cattlemen.
