Manchester Hosting Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade

Manchester is hosting the Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade this week.
Tractors started pouring into the Delaware County Fairgrounds on Sunday morning to get registered. Over four hundred tractors have signed up for this year’s ride, which is traveling through and stopping in several area towns over the next three days. Today, they’re heading to Buck Creek, Prairieburg, Central City and Lake Delhi; they’ll make their way to Edgewood, Littleport, Elkport, Guttenberg, Osterdock, Colesburg, Petersburg and Earlville tomorrow; and they’ll wrap up with visits to Dundee and Backbone State Park on Wednesday.Â
This is the 25th year for the Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade. An anniversary celebration is taking place tonight at the fairgrounds from 4 to 7 pm, with the tractors arriving back in town by 6 pm. The Delaware County Cattlemen will be serving a meal tonight and several special guests will be in attendance, including Governor Kim Reynolds, Congresswoman Ashley Hinson and Iowa Secretary of Ag Mike Naig. The public is welcome to attend.
