Grand Avenue Extension Wrapping Up Before Delaware County Fair

Work is going smoothly on extending Grand Avenue in Manchester.

The street, which sits on the far east end of the Delaware County Fairgrounds, is being extended to the neighborhood that sits north of the fairgrounds on Fairview Drive.

Manchester City Manager Tim Vick:

Vick says the City was able to do this project without borrowing any money, with the total costs coming in $40,000 lower than expected.

The next step will be installing a trail along Grand Avenue next summer.

Vick says he appreciates the Delaware County Fair Society partnering with the City of Manchester on this project.

Work on the Grand Avenue extension project started in May – and with everything running on schedule, they plan to be wrapped up in a couple weeks before the start of the Delaware County Fair on July 8th.
