Hot & Humid Today, Chance for Severe Storms

Hot and humid conditions linger today, with the potential for heat indices between 90 to 100 degrees across eastern Iowa.

Strong to severe storms are also possible later today, with the biggest threat along and south of Highway 30. The southern two-thirds of the KMCH listening area – including Delaware, Dubuque, Buchanan, Jones and Linn counties – are under a Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 5).

Torrential rainfall and flash flooding will also be possible later today, particularly for areas that receive repeated rounds of rainfall.
