Rickey Retires as West Delaware Superintendent

West Delaware Superintendent Dr. Kristen Rickey retires this weekend.

Rickey has led the school district for the past thirteen years. She announced her retirement in October. Her last day is June 30th.

Rickey most recently oversaw a major building project for West Delaware over these last few years, which brought improvements to the high school, middle school and elementary buildings.

But she tells KMCH the thing she is most proud of is West Delaware’s collaborative culture. No matter what the issue or challenge, she says the students, families and community found a way to come together to solve it so they could continue to serve the students at high levels.

West Delaware’s new superintendent, Jen Vance, will officially take over the reigns July 1st.
