Ryan Community Endowment Awards Two Grants

The Ryan Community Endowment has awarded two grants.
Ryan was approved for a Small-town Dreams Initiative Challenge Grant in 2021. This initiative is funded by an anonymous donor and successful entrepreneur who grew up in a small town in eastern Iowa. Ryan is the one of ten successful applicants for the program, which is targeted for high-performing self-determined communities.
The campaign has been led by team members Tom McDonald, Ken Ries, Marcia Voelker, Jeff Zumbach, Justin Wenger, Lorraine Gaffney, Elizabeth Feldmann, Jason Stepanek and Dan Reiss. The late Bruce Quint was the team recorder when it began.
The challenge goal of $450,000 has been surpassed and each year the leadership team will celebrate with cash awards. This year, the grants have been awarded to the Ryan Fire Department ($1,200) and St. Patrick Catholic Church for gym updates ($3,000).
Through generous community members, the fund continues to grow and the annual payout will continue to grow as well.
Grant applications will be announced annually and awarded by the Leadership Team.
