Manchester Community Celebrates Dr. Tyrrell’s 100th Birthday

A man who has been a cornerstone in the Manchester community celebrated a very special milestone this past week.

Dr. John Tyrrell turned 100 years old on Thursday, July 18th.

Dr. Tyrrell has devoted his life to serving others – whether it was his years in the Army during World War Two, his career as a doctor or his leadership as a volunteer in the Manchester community. Jack Klaus and Leo Monaghan say Dr. Tyrrell has given back in countless ways.

Dr. Tyrrell says he’s grateful for the life he’s had.

Dr. Tyrrell currently lives at The Meadows Assisted Living in Manchester and says he’s doing well. He appreciates all the birthday cards sent to him and he appreciates everyone who came to celebrate with him at his 100th Birthday Open House on Monday afternoon at Regional Medical Center.
