It was a cool night for the 4th annual Back the Blue event at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Manchester.
The event, hosted by Delaware County Pay It Forward, brings the community and local law enforcement together for an evening of fun family-friendly activities. Iowa State Patrol trooper Devin Brooks says it’s a great event.
Delaware County Sheriff”s Deputy Matt Tauke says it’s a good chance to connect with local residents.
Fellow deputy Jason White says it’s great to know the community is supporting local law enforcement.
Law enforcement officers took turns getting in the dunk tank and several participated in the Pie in the Face contest. There was also an auction, with proceeds from this year’s event going to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.
