Beloved Manchester Pharmacist Retires after 45 Year Career

The Manchester community said goodbye yesterday to a beloved pharmacist who has served the area for more than four decades.
Cathy Lilienthal of Brehme Drug has worked as a pharmacist for 45 years, spending most of that time in Manchester and Delaware County.
She tells KMCH she’s been around a pharmacy her whole life.
After graduating, Lilienthal worked at a pharmacy in Dubuque before making her way to Manchester in 1984. She eventually partnered with Bill Blakesley.
Wednesday was Lilienthal’s last day at Brehme Drug, with owner Ashley Brehme and her fellow co-workers surprising her with a card shower from the community and the pharmacy’s patients. She says it’s those relationships she’ll miss the most.
Congratulations Cathy – we wish you the best in retirement!
