Country Cruisers Car Cruise on Saturday

Earlier Start, Passing Through Dyersville for First Time

It’s time to go cruisin’ this weekend…

The Country Cruisers are hosting their annual car cruise this Saturday – and there are a couple of changes this year.

Club member Dennis Wiedenman says they’re pushing up the start of the cruise by two hours, so the cars will begin leaving the Quik-n-Handi parking lot in Manchester at 3 pm.

The cruise will head through downtown Manchester on Franklin/Highway 13 to Quaker Mill Drive and pass Hart Ridge before heading north to Dundee. From there, the cruise route will go through Backbone State Park, Edgewood, Greeley, Petersburg, Dyersville, Earlville and then take Old 20 back to Manchester. Wiedenman says they’re excited to pass through Dyersville for the first time on the cruise.

You can find a map of the cruise route below or pick up a paper copy of the map at KMCH. It’s also posted on the Country Cruisers Facebook page. And they’ll have copies available for all the drivers in the cruise when you show up that day too.

This is one of eastern Iowa’s largest cruises, with hundreds of cars taking part each year – and with the beautiful weather forecasted for Saturday, they’re expecting a great turnout.

All new, classic or unique vehicles are welcome – it’s free and you can join in from anywhere along the route. And if you don’t have a ride, you’re encouraged to sit along the route and watch the cruise go by.

KMCH News Director Janelle Tucker will be in the cruise – towards the front in the cherry red Jeep Wrangler Rubicon courtesy of Runde Auto Group – broadcasting along the route. And Eric Walker will be back in the KMCH studios, taking your song requests during our Cruisin’ Request Show.
