East Main Street Back Open in Manchester

After several months of road construction and detours, East Main Street is back open in Manchester. The barricades and detour signs came down around 11 am Thursday.

That’s Manchester City Manager Tim Vick, who says the East Main Street project was a total street reconstruction from Bailey Drive to nearly Stiles Street, with work getting underway in early April.

And a lot of the work done was underground.

Vick says the City appreciates the patience of all the residents and businesses in that area of Manchester, as well as the drivers who made their way through one of two detour routes.

There will be a short break before another street improvement project starts next month.
