Delaware County Republicans Hosting Dinner & Auction Fundraiser

The Delaware County Republicans will host their annual dinner and auction this Saturday night.

The fundraiser is taking place at Old 20 Auctions on the east side of Manchester, with doors opening at 5 pm. Delaware County Republican Chair Roger Helmrichs says they usually get a pretty good crowd.

After dinner, they’ll begin their program.

Several Republican candidates are running on the county level this November, including Carla Becker running for re-election as Delaware County Auditor and Jeff Madlom running for another term as Supervisor District #1. And there will be some new names on the ballot for voters too. Dan Wheeler is running for the Supervisor District #2 seat being vacated by Pete Buschmann. Travis Hemesath is running for Delaware County Sheriff, with John LeClere retiring at the end of the year. And Treasurer Pam Klein retired this spring, with Jenny Eschen appointed to the seat in May and running for election this fall.

This November, Republicans will also be voting for State House and Senate seats, as well as for their representative in Congress. And with this being a presidential election year, energy is high heading into the general election.

Helmrichs says they’ll also be hosting a silent and live auction at Saturday night’s fundraiser.

The cost to attend the Delaware County Republicans dinner and auction is $30 per person or $50 per couple – tickets can be purchased at the door.
