Like many schools across the area, Lambert Elementary in Manchester welcomed students back to class on Friday morning.
Principal Rudy Hameister says it’s always exciting to come back, but he noted this year was extra special.
Second-grader Delaney Feldman was returning to school after a fun summer.
Her classmate, Jace Pirc, was looking forward to being back at school for a couple different reasons.
Second grade teacher, Mrs. Melissa Coates, was happy to welcome back the students.
Hameister, who is starting his 14th year as principal at Lambert Elementary, says they have a few new teachers this school year.
And Hameister says it’s important to make school fun too.
