The Delaware County Pork Producers will hold their annual Pork Barbeque on Thursday night.
It’s the 66th year for the event. Pork producer Shirley Helmrichs says everyone is welcome to come to the Delaware County Fairgrounds Pavilion in Manchester between 5 and 7 pm for dinner – whether you dine in, carryout or pick it up curbside.
Everyone is welcome to stay for the program, which starts at 7 pm. The Pork Producers will crown a new Delaware County Pork Queen, with this year’s candidates including Trudy Loecke of Manchester, Brenna Penner of Dyersville and Keely Recker of Hopkinton.
The Pork Producers will also be honoring a woman involved in the county’s pork industry with the Belle Ringer Award.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $6 for kids’ pork burger meals, with tickets available at the door. Proceeds will go towards scholarships.
