Delaware County Holding Public Meeting to Gather Road Safety Feedback

The Delaware County Secondary Roads Department will be hosting a public meeting this Thursday morning to gather feedback on the safety of the county’s roadways.
County Engineer Rafe Koopman says with the last federal infrastructure grant that was passed, a large portion of it was set aside for safety improvements. The first thing Delaware County needs to apply for that grant is a safety action plan.
He says Delaware County is unique in that there are many different types of traffic.
Once a plan is developed, it will need to be adopted by the Delaware County Board of Supervisors.
Thursday’s meeting will run from 8:30 to 11:30 am at the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office on the west side of Manchester. Koopman says he would appreciate any and all feedback.
And if you’re not able to make it to Thursday’s meeting, but would still like to provide feedback about the safety of Delaware County’s roads, feel free to reach out to the Delaware County Secondary Roads Office.
