City of Manchester Reviewing Speed in Winslow/Crescent Drive Neighborhood

The City of Manchester is looking into an area of concern regarding the speed of traffic in one of the neighborhoods on the north side of town.

Manchester resident Jamie Vaske approached the Council on Monday night, expressing concern with the speed of traffic at the T-intersection of Winslow Drive and Crescent Drive – especially as more young families with children are moving into the neighborhood. Vaske is asking the City to consider putting up a stop sign on Winslow Drive to help slow down traffic or make it a three-way stop.

City Manager Tim Vick explains:

Before making a decision on a potential stop sign, the Council would like to try a couple other steps first. They’re asking Manchester Police to patrol the area a little more and put up a speed sign to gather more traffic data.

Vick says the speed sign will go up next week in the Winslow/Crescent Drive area and gather data for two weeks.
