A Linn County inmate has been returned to custody.
The Linn County Sheriff’s office says 37-year old Ashey Nichole Foster failed to return to the Linn County Correctional Center on Sunday afternoon as ordered. She had been released on a court-ordered furlough on September 5th.
Earlier this week, the Sheriff’s Office had asked the public for help on locating Foster. Authorities thank everyone who called in with information and details on her whereabouts, which aided in her arrest. Foster was taken into custody by Cedar Rapids Police on Thursday and returned to the Linn County Correctional Center.
