Memberships Available for Manchester’s Friends of Castle Theatre

Manchester has a unique gem that many other small communities don’t – a movie theater. And ever since local citizens saved the theater from closing fifteen years ago, it’s been a labor of love for a group of volunteers to keep Castle Theatre alive.
There are two groups that support the theater – Jack Klaus is President of the Friends of Castle Theatre and John Curran is President of the Board of Directors.
Castle Theatre has been bringing in some big movies – “Twisters” has been the top showing so far this year, with over 2,700 moviegoers during its three week showing this summer. And with tickets and concessions less expensive than the larger theaters, it’s been a good deal for families.
Klaus says the best way to support Castle Theatre and ensure that it stays in Manchester is to come out to the movies.
You can also become a member of the Friends of Castle Theatre. Your $25 membership fee and donations help support the theater’s operations – and Klaus says they’ve got a big goal they’re trying to reach.
If you’d like to join and support the theater, the annual Friends of Castle Theatre membership letter was mailed out to community members this past week. And anyone who makes a donation and becomes a member is welcome to attend their annual Friends of Castle Theatre meeting, which will be held at the theater this Saturday starting at 10 am.
