Women, Land & Legacy Hosting ‘Wine in the Woods’ in Edgewood

Join Delaware, Jones and Dubuque Counties’ “Women, Land and Legacy” this Thursday night in Edgewood to learn all about trees.
Resource Conservationist Alycia Willenbring says Women, Land and Legacy is a statewide outreach initiative housed under the USDA, but partnered with a lot of organizations. Their goal is to provide resources to women in the area in the ag field.
Erin Erickson with the Maquoketa River Watershed says this Thursday’s program will highlight the property of Edgewood couple Jim and Jody Kerns.
Everyone will meet at the Kerns’ barn at 5 pm for beverages and conservation and then leave at 5:30 pm to take a walk through part of their timber and prairie.
Bring sturdy shoes for walking. This is a free event.
RSVPs would be appreciated by today, but Erickson says you can sign up anytime up until the day of the event on Thursday. RSVP by emailing delawarejoneswll@gmail.com.
