Severe Storms Possible Tonight

Severe storms are possible tonight.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed the majority of the KMCH listening area under a Level 2 out of 5 Slight Risk for severe storms. 

The National Weather Service says large hail and damaging winds would be the primary threats.  A few showers and storms may occur as early as later this morning and afternoon into parts of eastern Iowa. But, the greater coverage of storms is expected to occur this evening/tonight.

Chances for showers and storms will stick around through the weekend and into early next week.
