Independence Firefighters Respond to Brush & Pallet Pile Fire

Independence firefighters were called to a large pile of pallets and brush on fire in the 1900 block of Otterville Boulevard on Thursday afternoon.

On the scene, crews found about one hundred to one hundred fifty pallets on fire in a tree line. Crews quickly knocked down the fire and switched to foam to prevent any flare-ups or fire spread.

No injuries were reported.
