Northwestern Mutual Hosting ‘Cheers for Fears’ Halloween Party in Ryan

You’re invited to get into the Halloween spirit with “Cheers for Fears” in Ryan this Saturday night.

“Cheers for Fears” is a Halloween party featuring The Pork Tornadoes. Northwestern Mutual hosts the event, which is also a fundraiser for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. Mitch Peyton says the money is split between the U of I Stead Family Children’s Hospital Pediatric Oncology unit and the Northwestern Mutual Pediatric Oncology Nurses’ Fund.

Between ticket sales, the live auction and donations, “Cheers for Fears” raised $47,000 last year. Tickets are still available for this year’s event. Peyton says along with live music, they’ll also have a costume contest, food and cash bar.

Doors at St. Patrick’s Gym will open at 6:30 pm on Saturday night, with the concert starting at 7:30 pm. Tickets for “Cheers for Fears” are $40 each. Tickets are available online at eventbrite.com or at the door (cash or check only).
