Dyersville Chamber Asking for Help ‘Packing the Pantry’

The Dyersville Area Chamber of Commerce is encouraging the businesses, employees and residents to “Pack the Pantry”.

With rising needs in our community, residents are encouraged to contribute non-perishable food items and drop them off at designated locations by next Tuesday, October 29th.

The Dyersville food pantry is seeking a variety of non-perishable food items, including body wash, toothpaste, dish soap, brownie & cake mixes, pudding mix, jello, Kleenex, paper towels – and monetary donations are appreciated too.

Drop off Dyersville locations include Fidelity Bank & Trust (2nd Street), MidWestOne (Hwy 136), DuTrac, Community Savings Bank, Dupaco and Divine Word College in Epworth. Businesses are also encouraged to collect internally with their employees.

All collections can be dropped off at the Dyersville Rural Community Food Pantry on Tuesday between the hours of 4:30 to 6 pm, where chamber members can help unload.

Chamber Director Karla Thompson says this is a great way for the community to give back and help ensure that our local food pantries are well-stocked for the upcoming holidays and winter months.
