The Edgewood Veterans Memorial Dog Park officially opened this month.
The new dog park is located at the corner of Bixby Road and Viking Road in Edgewood (east of the soccer fields) – and it’s a place where dog owners can bring their pups to run, play and socialize between the hours of dawn and dusk.
The dog park is funded entirely with private dollars. Brittany Demro says numerous contributions have been made to open this first phase of the project.
As more funding comes in, they’ll add more features to the Edgewood dog park.
A fundraiser for the Edgewood Dog Park is being held this Saturday, hosted by Twisted Clovers LLC. It’s called Trails and Tails – it’s a 5K and you can bring your dog along.
Sign-in starts at 8 am on Saturday at the Community Dreams Sports Complex in Edgewood, with the Trails and Tails race starting at 9 am.
