The Haunting in Hopkinton Celebrates History & Halloween

The historic Lenox College campus in Hopkinton was the place to be on Saturday night if you were looking to get into the Halloween spirit.

For the second year in a row, the Delaware County Historical Society and Friends of the Hopkinton Library partnered to host “The Haunting”. Hopkinton Mayor Craig Lange, who is involved with the Delaware County Historical Society, was dressed in the Halloween spirit welcoming those who were arriving for a spooky night.

Fellow Historical Society member John Eiben, dressed as the Grim Reaper, was leading the bus tour – giving some creepy history of Hopkinton and Delaware County and driving by some of the historic sites.

Around two hundred people turned out for The Haunting and bus tour on Saturday night – and all ages, too. These three kids got a scare while being guided through the old buildings in the dark.

Both Eiben and Lange say the Lenox College campus is the perfect place to honor Delaware County’s history while celebrating the season.
