The General Election is just one week away on Tuesday, November 5th. And KMCH is continuing to spotlight some of the candidates on this year’s ballot.
Democrat Joe Hegland of Manchester is running for election in State Senate District 34, which covers Delaware and Buchanan counties, as well as portions of Fayette, Dubuque and Black Hawk counties. Hegland announced his candidacy in May.
Hegland’s passion for education is what led him to run.
Hegland talks about his priorities and goals if he’s elected to the State Senate.
Hegland says the response from people has been fantastic as he’s seen “a ton of support” from the area.
