Severe Weather Possible This Afternoon into Tonight

Severe weather is possible as we head into this afternoon and tonight.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed the majority of eastern Iowa and the KMCH listening area under a Level 1 Marginal Risk, with storms likely to develop between 3 and 6 pm. The main risk would be damaging wind gusts, though there is also a low risk for tornadoes.

The National Weather Service says widespread rain is also expected, with the potential for one to three inches across eastern Iowa.
