Delaware County’s Burn Ban Lifted

Delaware County’s burn ban has been lifted.

The burn ban had been in effect for over a month since September 25th. Wednesday’s widespread soaking rainfall, adding up to two-point-three inches in Manchester, helped ease concerns after weeks of dry weather.

Delaware County Emergency Management says even though the burn ban is no longer in effect, they encouraged residents to think carefully before burning.

Emergency Management says they appreciate everyone who helped to keep first responders safe during this dry spell.

Dubuque County’s burn ban has also been lifted. Burn bans remain in effect for about forty counties in Iowa, including Clayton, Fayette, Buchanan and Linn.
