Texas Felon Stopped for Speeding in Clayton County Sentenced

A Texas felon who was stopped for speeding in Clayton County and found in possession of several firearms was sentenced Friday to more than three years in federal prison.
41-year old Douglas Lynn Greer of Fort Worth, Texas, received the prison term after pleading guilty in March to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. At the guilty plea, Greer admitted he possessed four firearms in his car when he was stopped for speeding in Clayton County. Greer had previously been convicted of the felony offenses of making terroristic threats and offering a forged check.
Greer is being held in the United States Marshal’s custody until he can be transported to a federal prison.
