Republican Ashley Hinson won a third term in Congress on Tuesday night.

Hinson was re-elected with 57-percent of the vote in Iowa’s second congressional district.

Hinson, who was endorsed by Trump earlier this year, told a crowd of supporters in Cedar Rapids she looks forward to working with a Trump White House.

Democratic challenger Sarah Corkery of Cedar Falls received 42-percent of the vote, while Independent Jodi (Madlom) Puffett of Delhi got just over one percent of the vote.
