Second Immigrant Wanted by Manchester Police for Identity Theft

A second immigrant is wanted by Manchester Police.
Manchester Police and Immigration and Customs Enforcement executed a search warrant at 1228 North Franklin Street in Manchester on October 22nd. Information was received from a previous case involving Karla Molina Mendoza, providing false documents to other immigrants during that case.
Joel Mejia Colindres was identified as working for two local employers under the alias “Christian Salinas.” Workforce records show he made at least $46,927 with one employer and over $5,000 from the other. The alias used and its identifiers belong to a true person’s identity in another state. He was issued a legitimate California ID in 2022. His fake ID and social security card were found in the home with other fictitious documents.
Mejia Colindres is currently wanted for two counts of identity theft and forgery, perjury, and possessing a fake ID. The suspect’s bail is set at $5,000 cash or surety. If you have any information on his current whereabouts, reach out to Manchester Police.
Manchester Police was assisted on the case by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.
