Banners Debut at ‘Freedom Is Not Free’ Veterans Memorial in Manchester

There is a new feature at the ‘Freedom Is Not Free’ Veterans Memorial in Manchester.

If you have driven by or visited the memorial at Baum Park in the last week or two, you may have noticed the new banners. Jack Klaus, Manchester Army veteran and Veterans Memorial committee member, explains.

Veterans and their families can request a banner. Klaus says you can actually find more information at the memorial itself.

If you have any questions or feel it’s easier to call someone to request a banner, you can reach out to Klaus or the Manchester City Hall. The cost is $100, which basically covers the committee’s cost of creating the banner.

Klaus is hoping to spread the word about the banners to help honor the men and women from the Delaware County area who have served.
