New Theisen’s Location Opens in Monticello

The new Theisen’s store opened in Monticello last week.

General Manager Luke Quinlan says they’re excited to be at their new location, which is just a few blocks down the street from the old store.

Regional Manager Jim Lincoln says the old store opened as Theisen’s fifth location in 1971, so it was one of the first. He says it took some time, but eventually they were able to reach a deal on purchasing the new property, which is the site of the old Monticello High School.

And to honor the history of the site, they’ve incorporated pieces of the old school to make the store special – including the old bleacher seats repurposed as clothing area benches, the free throw line as a water fountain backdrop and the gym floor is used around the fitting rooms. They also found a spot for the Theisen’s sign from the original store too.
