Manchester Planning to Extend Trail Along Grand Avenue Next Summer

The City of Manchester is planning to extend a trail along Grand Avenue on the north end of Manchester.

On Tuesday night, the City Council – on a split 3 to 2 vote – approved an engineering agreement for the Grand Avenue Trail Extension Project from Acers Street to Fairview Drive in the amount of $64,000 with Burrington Group. 

City Manager Tim Vick:

Vick says this is part of a continuation of Manchester’s trail system.

Council members Linda Schmitt and Bryan Gray voted against approving the engineering agreement, expressing concerns over spending and whether the project is necessary.

The Grand Avenue Trail Extension Project is expected to be done next summer.
