Ed-Co is celebrating their new addition this Saturday.
A ribbon cutting, program and tours will be taking place from 1 to 3 pm at the high school in Edgewood.
It’s a project that’s been years in the making. Activities Director Alex Hanna says the school had been working for about seven years on trying to pass a bond issue for renovations and improvements, with voters finally approving the bond two years ago. He says there were several needs in the district, including some facilities that needed updating.
The improvements include new features at both Colesburg Elementary and Ed-Co High School.
Hanna says the construction process started over a year ago.
Starting on Monday, Ed-Co’s high school students will get to experience the new classrooms for the first time.
Everyone is welcome to come out and help Ed-Co celebrate the new addition at the high school on Saturday.
Hanna says Ed-Co’s new addition has been a “total team effort”.
